Within a half hour drive we have world class fishing at Hot Creek, Owens River, Convict Lake and Crowley Lake. Devils Postpile National Monument and Hot Creek Geological Site are very interesting natural sites to visit. Yosemite National Park boundary at Tioga Pass is a 45 minute drive away and Yosemite Valley can be reached in about 3 hours. The Town of Mammoth Lakes has plenty of activities including music festivals, arts and craft shows, bike and running races and the Mammoth Motocross. The official website for the Town of Mammoth Lakes is http://www.visitmammoth.com/ and has loads of information about summer events and activities.
